The ministries of Attorney General, Solicitor General and Children and Family Development (youth justice) recently launched JusticeBC to provide information to the public about the criminal justice system in British Columbia.
JusticeBC is a companion site to VictimLink BC and includes information of particular interest to victims of crime such as victims’ rights, testifying as a Crown witness and the role of Victim Service Workers in the criminal justice system. It also includes valuable information about the basic principles underlying criminal justice and an outline of criminal justice processes.
“JusticeBC brings into one portal more than 300 pages of information about the criminal justice system, as well as links to other resources and services. Some of the basic information on JusticeBC about British Columbia's criminal justice system is in French, Chinese, Punjabi and Spanish.”
